This stunning green violin is suitable for children of around 9 to 11, depending on size. (Check with your violin teacher if you're not sure what size you need).

It is an attractive looking, good quality beginner's violin with a good appearance and feel, and it's easy to play. The violin has a lovely deep, resonant tone and is easy to tune up (and holds it's tuning well!). It has four tuning adjusters to make tuning even easier, and comes with everything you need to start playing. The case is a hard foam case, plush lined with internal and external storage pockets.

General Information about Violins
The violin top and back are carved out from solid wood. The top is spruce and the back, sides and neck are generally from sycamore. The bassbar is an integral and tonally important part of the top. The soundpost is fitted about 1/4" behind the treble foot of the bridge and connects the front and back of the instrument acoustically in a way that shapes the sound considerably. The most popular type of sycamore used in violins has a curl in the grain which shows up as a flame effect.
